The Challenges of Pregnancy Can Be Turned Around

A variety of challenges can arise for the pregnant woman, and finding local chiropractors like Dr. Reed or Dr. Hood can help with some of those issues. One of these challenges is for a baby to be in a breech presentation beyond the eighth month of pregnancy. Optimum fetal position requires the neuro-biomechanics of the pelvis to be in balance. With significant hormonal changes, and increased physical, chemical and emotional stresses during pregnancy, proper balance can be easily off-set. Left uncorrected, the neuro-biomechanical imbalance of the pelvis can create several complications to the birth process and outcome.  Correct position of the spinal-pelvic unit can improve the baby’s position, in turn will help maintain a proper environment for the baby’s developing nervous system.

In 1978, Dr. Larry Webster developed the Webster’s In-Utero Constraint Technique as a safe method of restoring balance to the spinal-pelvic unit and the normal neuro-biomechanical function of a pregnant woman.  The Webster protocol is a specific chiropractic analysis and adjustment to help the body maintain healthy function and help “turn around” the complications of pregnancy.
