7 Exercises you should do Today!

The 7 exercises you should do today. But first the why, why should you start doing weight training today? Simple it is better for you today and in the future. When a person reaches the age of 70 they will have lost up to 25% of muscle strength and tone they had in their mid 30’s. This does not just mean your 6 pack will go to a 4 pack; it comes with other important consequences. Your bone density, cardio respiratory fitness, aerobic capacity, and also strength and muscle mass will all decrease.

If that is not enough for you strength training will also help prevent osteoporosis, improve your range of motion, and ability to perform functional movements “day to day activities”.

The biggest benefit of all, most people already know is strength training will help you lose weight by boosting your metabolic rate.  The more muscle mass you have the more calories you burn even in a resting state! Also strength training allows you to burn calories up to 72 hours after working out due to a process called afterburn, this benefit is not obtained to this degree with normal cardio.

So what exercises are the ones you should perform??

Start with these 7 to add to your already established strength training, or use these as a start to your strength training program. If needing to know the exact technique on each of these exercises there is a video showing how to perform each. Always start with just body weight before moving to weighted exercises.
