Allergies, Sinus, and Ear aches
What do Allergies, sinus, and ear aches have in common?
Answer: All of these can be caused by the second cervical vertebra going out place.
This is the second vertebra in the spinal column, and sits directly below C1 “Atlas”. In anatomy, the second cervical vertebra (C2) of the spine is named the axis (from Latin axis, “axle”). The C2 forms the pivot upon which the first cervical vertebra (the atlas), which carries the head, rotates. This vertebra can also be forced out of place during a car accident or other traumatic accident.
This vertebra helps controls:
- Eyes
- Sinuses
- Tongue
- Forehead
When this vertebrae is misplaced it will cause symptoms such as
- Sinus Troubles
- Allergies
- Pain around the eyes
- Ear aches
- Fainting spells
- Deafness
These conditions can all be helped if the axis is out of place and put back into position by a licensed Chiropractor. If you or anyone you know has any of these conditions, or even if you notice that your head can not turn one direction as the other, you or they need to get checked by a Chiropractor before these conditions worsen.
