2021 New Year New Attitude Picture 2

New Year New Attitude

New Year New Attitude is how I want to head into the New Year. For most of us 2020 was filled with stress and worry about a a new virus called COVID-19 or “The Coronavirus”. Back in February and March there was little know about the virus and for most of us the unknow was scary. It was natural for most of us to spend more time watching and listening to the news. We all wanted to do our part in helping what was phrased as “Flattening the Curve” . Over the next few months it started to be clear that the people who had the most complications from COVID-19 were older adults and people with compromised immune systems and or co-morbidities. I wrote a blog on this topic in June taking about how to control what you can control, get back to living life, and becoming a least vulnerable person.

Looking Forward to 2021

So as I look forward to 2021 my New Years Resolutions and message to you is lets all try to work on focusing on the things that we have direct control over. In this blog I will list 5 things that will improve your health that we have direct control over.

  1. New Year New Attitude – The way that we look and react to life is in our control. It is true that we can’t control what happens to us, but it is true that we can control how we react to what happens to us. I 2021 lets try to react to all news and stressors with a positive response. Ask yourself of what can I do with this stressor and spin it so that it is a positive.
  2. Nutrition – We have all herd you are what you eat, so lets all become living foods. Lets try in 2021 to eat foots closer to nature. If you cant pronounce or read the ingredients on a label it is probably not real food and will not enhance your health. Lets search out foods that are as close to nature as possible. For example; an orange from a tree is much healthier than processed Sunny D which is made with high fructose syrup and pasteurization.
  3. Exercise – In 2021 we all need to get out of our houses and move. Lets try to walk 10,000 steps a day out in our beautiful Vitamin D filled Arizona sunshine. With most people still working from home this should be easy, no more 30 min commutes so at the end out the work day go for a 30 min walk.
  4. Rest – One of the best things we can all do to recharge our immune system is to get enough sleep. Dr. Mercola recommends that the typical adult should get 7-9 hours of quality sleep per night.
  5. Chiropractic – Chiropractic care has been around for more than a century and more and more benefits emerge every year. Dr. Jockers listed the 10 most researched benefits of chiropractic in an article on how to super charge your life.
