Chiropractic Works!

We would like to share a chiropractic success story from one of our patients. Chiropractic works, and we would like to let you read how chiropractic care impacted Anjelca’s life in the past and will continue into the future.

“My journey with chiropractic care began back when I was in high school working at a popular coffee shop and I had a 30 pound box dropped on my neck. Regular adjustments got me back to “good as new” but a much bigger — and more damaging — event occurred in college when I was in a car accident that turned my world upside down.

I went from being a vibrant, fun kid to a student who could barely walk, often had to skip classes, or if I made it to a class, I would lay on the floor with tears streaming down my face because I was in such incredible pain. While I also worked with both a physical and massage therapist weekly for the first month, my chiropractic care was where I found the most relief. Over the course of a few months — and sometimes getting checked three times per week —  I was finally back to myself. However, the most lasting impact? Learning just how important getting your spine checked on a regular basis really is… a subluxation in your spine can have a HUGE impact on almost every aspect of life.

I’ve moved a lot in my life and often that meant leaving behind really amazing chiropractors, and also unfortunately causing some delay in care as I found new, great chiropractors. But outside of those minor breaks — breaks which always left me CERTAIN that maintenance care is crucial — I’ve been going to chiropractors ever since my accident on at least a monthly basis but more often weekly for years… I truly fell in love with the health benefits of a healthy, well-functioning spine. Now that I’m in my 30s, and after many years of care, I am very in tune with my body and frequently know where a subluxation has occurred based on symptoms.

My love for chiropractic even led me to work in a few chiropractic offices in California (where I was like a kid in a candy store constantly learning about health and wellness!) before transitioning to working from home and caring for my baby.

Having been treated by and working with so many talented doctors, I have to say it is a gift to have found chiropractors like Dr. Reed and Dr. Hood when I moved to Arizona just a few months ago, who treat the spine with such care and precision. Believe me, I’ve also experienced plenty of not so good chiropractic care. We have nothing at all if we don’t have our health, and while symptoms like headaches, back pain, poor sleep, etc. may not be unusual to experience, it doesn’t mean they’re normal symptoms of a well-functioning body, nor that you can’t get the care you need by regularly working with a chiropractor.

If you’re within 30 or even 50 miles of Reed Chiropractic, make an appointment. You won’t regret it!

Also, a word to the wise, do not work with a chiropractor who does not take x-rays (or at the very least wants to view recent x-rays) because… well, it’s your spine. I’d say it’s pretty important to know what’s happening in there before moving things around… wouldn’t you?”
