Why do I need to Get Adjusted Every 2 Weeks?

When immobilization (or as we call it Subluxation) occurs in a joint and remains there for more than 10-15 days that joint begins to degenerate.

We are often asked why do we recommend that our patients get adjusted every two weeks even if they don’t have pain.  First, we need to look at this questions in terms of what we already understand.  You don’t just brush your teeth only when you have pain or a cavity do you? No of course not. It is about prevention. So think of Chiropractic adjustments in these terms.

A study was don in 1987 by Tapoi Videman, M.D., and published in the journal of Clinical Biomechanics.  This article states that “When immobilization (or as we call it Subluxation) occurs in a joint and remains there for more than 10-15 days that joint begins to degenerate.”  So based on science we recommend our patients that have graduated thru care and are in wellness care we recommend them get checked for subluxation or lack of mobility every two weeks in order to prevent the spinal joints form an preventable degeneration.  If you would like to find out more about how we locate and detect vertebral subluxations or joint fixations come in and meet with one of our doctors for a free consultation.
